Quick answers
- Dentures: removable, lowest cost, no surgery. Full dentures at Qualiteeth from RM350.
- Implant-retained dentures: clip onto implants for better grip, still removable.
- Fixed full-arch implants (All-on-4 / All-on-6): fixed teeth that do not come out. All-on-4 from RM40,000 per jaw.
- Bone: implants help keep the jawbone; dentures do not.
Your three main options
1. Conventional full dentures
A removable set of teeth that rests on the gums. Dentures are the most affordable option and need no surgery, but they can move when you eat or talk, may need adhesive, and press on the gums.
2. Implant-retained dentures
Two or more implants are placed, and the denture clips onto them. It is far more stable than a normal denture, especially in the lower jaw, but is still removed for cleaning.
3. Fixed full-arch implants (All-on-4 and All-on-6)
A fixed bridge of teeth is attached to four or six implants. You do not take it out at home. It is the closest option to having natural teeth again. See All-on-4 and All-on-6 at Qualiteeth.

Why bone matters
When teeth are lost, the jawbone that held them slowly shrinks because it is no longer being used. Dentures sit on top of the gums, so they do not stop this. Over the years, dentures can become loose and the face can look sunken around the mouth.
Implants sit inside the bone and pass chewing forces into it, which helps keep the bone in place. That is one reason many long-term denture wearers move to implants.
Full mouth dental implant cost in Malaysia
At Qualiteeth, All-on-4 starts from RM40,000 per jaw and full dentures start from RM350. All-on-6 and implant-retained dentures are quoted after consultation. You receive the full cost in writing before treatment.
Prices in Malaysia vary widely, so compare what each quote includes:
- 3D scan and planning
- Extractions of remaining teeth
- Number of implants and components
- Temporary teeth while healing
- Material of the final teeth
- Follow-up reviews
Most insurance and company panels do not fully cover implants, so check with your insurer or HR first.

Which option is right for you?
- Choose dentures if you want the lowest cost, cannot have surgery, or need a quick solution
- Choose implant-retained dentures if your denture moves a lot, especially the lower one, and you want better grip at a lower cost than fixed teeth
- Choose All-on-4 or All-on-6 if you want fixed teeth that feel the most natural and help protect your jawbone

Frequently asked questions
How much do full mouth dental implants cost in Malaysia?
Prices vary widely between clinics and depend on how many implants are used, one or both jaws, extractions, bone grafting and the material of the teeth. At Qualiteeth, All-on-4 full-arch implants start from RM40,000 per jaw, and full dentures start from RM350. Your dentist gives you the full cost in writing before treatment.
Are dental implants better than dentures?
Implants are fixed, feel more like natural teeth and help keep the jawbone, but cost more and need surgery. Dentures cost much less and need no surgery, but can move, and the jaw keeps shrinking over time. The right option depends on your health, bone and budget.
Can I change from dentures to All-on-4?
Yes. Many All-on-4 patients are long-term denture wearers. Even if bone has shrunk, the angled back implants in All-on-4 can often make use of the bone that remains. A 3D scan shows what is possible.
Is there a middle option between dentures and fixed implants?
Yes. An implant-retained denture clips onto two or more implants, so it is much more stable than a normal denture but can still be removed for cleaning. It usually costs less than a fixed full arch.
How long do full mouth implants last?
With good cleaning and regular check-ups, implants can last for many years. The teeth on top may wear and may need repair or replacement in future, just as dentures need relining or remaking.
Am I too old for full mouth implants?
There is no upper age limit. What matters is your general health, your bone and your ability to keep the implants clean. Many patients in their 60s and 70s choose full-arch implants.
